Marcio Lopes Pequenos Rebentos Vinho Blanco Lote 3 2024 750ml
Made from grapes from selected winegrowers in the Vinho Verde region, this wine is a blend of Alvarinho, Loureiro, and Trajadura grapes. A combination of the nobility and versatility of these traditional grape varieties has resulted in a well-rounded, fresh, and above all, easy-to-drink wine.
This Alvarinho showcases the varietal's distinctive herbal character from the grape skins, alongside intense aromas, excellent balance, and its delicate nature. Pale greenish in color, it offers an intense bouquet with tropical fruit notes and subtle herbal nuances. Well-balanced on the palate, it finishes long and persistent.
In Marcio Lopes pursuit of crafting wines that express, in the purest possible way, the terroir from which they originate, Márcio Lopes was named Winemaker of the Year – Rising Star by Revista de Vinhos in 2019. He also received the Singularity Award as Best Emerging Winemaker from Grandes Escolhas in 2019 and was featured among Robert Parker's Wine Advocate Top 100 Discoveries.
Although Márcio Lopes Winemaker has existed for only a decade, the winery has attracted significant attention thanks to the skill and vision of its founder. Committed to authenticity, the winery focuses on producing distinctive wines from vineyard conditions that are not always valued by other growers. Old vines, low-yield vineyards, native and rare grape varieties, and organic, sustainable vineyard management are the hallmarks of both the producer and the winery.
After manual harvesting, the grapes were transported to the winery in small crates (18–20 kg). The bunches were destemmed, and the grapes underwent 8 hours of skin maceration, followed by gentle pressing and 48 hours of settling. Fermentation took place at a controlled temperature of 14–15°C for 15 days.
