Made from the maceration of cherries, quinine and bitter almonds in noble wines with a fruity and delicate bouquet. Can be served cool as an aperitif, or as an accompaniment for melon as a starter.
Created in 1884 by Mr. Auguste Maurin in Le Puy. An Italian-born artist later created the infamous icon of the green devil as the label for Maurin Quina. A sweet white wine fortified with an infusion of wild cherries and quinine in a neutral grape spirit, with measured amounts of cherry brandy, lemon and cherry juice added. Maurin Quina has a delicate red hue. The subtle wine background elevates an array of tamed wild cherry flavors with light lemon and almond notes.Ā 16% ABV
