This is a holy grail bottling for rum fans.
Uitvlugt distillery was closedĀ at the turn of the millenniumĀ just a few years before its remarkable rums became enormously popular,Ā not dissimilar to the Karuizawa story in Japan which was happening at much the same time. Thankfully, the much-travelled Port Mourant wooden still is still running at its new home at Diamond distillery, the last surviving Demerara producer.
