One of the few remaining Clarets in California, this Cabernet Sauvignon-based blend is a time capsule of a great old style of wine. Aromatically the wine has notes of sweet, chocolate cherry cake with dried mint and fine loose tobacco. On the palate, the wine is fruit-forward with matching cherry flavors as well as a hint of brambly blackberries, and fresh finish. Blend 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Syrah, 9% Malbec, 8% Petit Verdot, 6% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc.
